We are sticking with the jumps again today with our throwback race and having not looked back at this contest, we thought it was about time that the 2018 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle gets looked at once more.
The Irish always seem to have a banker every season at the Cheltenham festival and in 2018 it was Samcro's turn to shine and that he did.
There was a lot of talk about the Gigginstown owned hurdler, that has since gone on to land the Marsh Novices' Chase at Prestbury Park, and after seven wins across point to point, bumpers and hurdle race he turned up to Cheltenham.
He went off as the 8/11 favourite and when jumping the last had just the hill to deal with before landing the Grade One and he did so impeccably.
Enjoy!
Who is looking forward to seeing Samcro make his debut over fences at @Downroyal on Friday? 😍
