Captain Butler - 2.20 Ayr
Ruth Jefferson is taking on the long trip to Ayr with Captain Butler on Wednesday 12th November for the lightly raced 7 year olds first run for her stable and his handicap debut.
A winner between the flags as a point to pointer, he then scored twice under rules with big intervals in between. Winning his bumper in May of 2023 before taking a maiden Hurdle at Kelso in December 2024.
Came 5th in a Grade Two when last seen, he clearly has plenty of talent when fit and on the racetrack. Could prove better than an opening handicap mark of 120 and make the long trip worth it for connections.
