Allegorie De Vassy

The longtime Ante-Post favourite for the Grade Two Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival, Allegorie De Vassy will officially miss the Cheltenham festival.

The Rich Ricci owned and Willie Mullins trained mare was the general 11/4 favourite to take the Grade Two event on the Thursday of the festival, but it has now been revealed that due to a chipped bone will miss her engagement.

Bought for €50,000 and given to Mullins having raced four times in France without winning, she has been seen twice in Ireland and is currently unbeaten.

Starting her season off at Fairyhouse in a Mares Hurdle she was a very taking winner by 11 lengths and then last time out over the same course and distance beat market rival Brandy Love by close to four lengths in Grade Three company.

On Friday 25th February she drifted out to 16/1 on the Betfair Exchange with murmurs she was out of the festival, but she had since gone back in to a general 9/2.

However, it has now been revealed on Nick Luck's Daily Podcast that she will miss her entry in the race to the dismay of ante-post backers.
