Day Three of Glorious Goodwood sees a eight race card shown live on ITV. With Group Three action in the Gordon Stakes and the Group Two Richmond Stakes. The Feature of the Card being the Group One Nassau Stakes for the Fillies and Mares over fourteen furlongs.

Has been steadily consistent for Michael Ball and just failed to give away 2lbs to subsequent Silver Bowl winner Teroom in a novice earlier in the season before shaping like 8 furlongs is an inadequate test the last twice.
Only narrowly held off by Dutch Decoy last time out, who’s franked the form and gone in again since, he doesn’t look too badly treated off a mark of 94 and should relish this longer test.

Got the better of Havana Hurricane in the Woodcote Stakes for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin before disappointing in the July Stakes when a well fancied favourite.
Cheekpieces go on for the first time now and the form with Havana Hurricane has worked out well.
Can take another step forward and confirm the promise he showed at Epsom earlier in the campaign.
Merchant 13/10
Has improved leaps and bounds for William Haggas since being upped to 12 furlongs, winning a handicap at York before a storming success at Royal Ascot when winning the King George V Stakes.
The form from Ascot has worked out well with Serious Contender running a screamer to be 2nd in the Irish Derby and this step up into Group company shouldn’t leave Merchant exposed for quality.
Whirl 6/5
A classy mare for last year’s winning connections, Whirl was only narrowly denied in the Oaks at Epsom before going on to score the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh, just holding off King George 2nd Kalpana.
This 10 furlong trip looks to be her optimum and with Ryan Moore in the saddle again she’ll be hard to beat from the front.
Ruby's Profit 8/1
Favours the sharp sprint tracks, winning over course and distance in May and running a creditably 3rd in the 3-Y-O Dash at Epsom after.
Wasn’t disgraced in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out but has been eased 1lbs in the weights and returns to a venue that plays to her strengths. Weight to go close in this company.
