ITV Racing Tips for Today - Saturday 15th November

The ITV racing cameras are live from Cheltenham and Wetherby on Saturday 15th of November. Sporting Grade Two trials for the Triumph Hurdle and the Arkle. With the feature race the Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap at Cheltenham. We've gone through all the live races to pick out our tips and selections for the live racing on the afternoon.

July Flower 11/8

This is a really tricky renewal of this race but it looks safer to side with the stamina laden July Flower as this will become a real test on the soft ground. She won well on her chase debut at Limerick on rain softened ground and was a smart middle distance hurdler. Looks the one to side with.

TheCompanysergeant 8/1

Improved as a novice chaser to come 2nd at the Cheltenham Festival behind Jagwar in the Jack Richard’s Novice Handicap. Didn’t quite hit the same heights off the back of that in his subsequent runs but still doesn’t look badly handicapped off a mark of 144. Will be race fit for a run over 3 miles in September and looks too big a price compared to Jagwar in the betting. With as many as 5 places on offer, he can get in the mix.

Kikijo 7/2

An interesting French recruit that scored over fences back in February before coming a close 2nd off a revised mark in March. Returned to racing this season rated 119 over hurdles and was an eye-catching 4th in a handicap at Aintree. Will be race fit off the back of that and is unexposed as a staying type. Carries a feather weight and looks interesting back in this sphere.

Fresh Perspective 6/5

Made a really nice hurdling debut at Fontwell after showing some form in bumpers and point to points. Looked a little novicey at his hurdles on debut but had the class to still pull 8 lengths clear of the 2nd and win with a good bit in hand. Should come on for the experience and has the best form in this field. The one to beat for Jamie Snowden.

Royal Infantry 9/2

The run at Chepstow last time out is real stand out form here, the 2nd has won a listed chase since, the 4th has won since and the faller French Ship won at Cheltenham at the October meeting. A mark of 138 and top weight might not look ideal but he’ll come on for the Chepstow run and the yard are in good form with their horses 2nd time up this season.

Cerendipity 7/2

Made a really nice impression to be 2nd behind the classy Be Aware at Stratford last time out and has won off this mark over fences before, scoring at Newcastle. The rain around should make this a good test of stamina for this 3 mile winner and he’s gone close at this venue before. Can get in the mix again.
