13:50 - Platinum Star 3/1

The first contest that kicks off Newmarket's Future Champions two day meeting is a Classy Group Three over five furlongs and we have sided with Platinum Star.

The Saeed bin Suroor trained colt is one of the most experienced runners in the field which could play to his strengths and he has ran to a good standard in the majority of his races.

He has raced six times with two wins and three seconds and on his only run at five furlongs on soft ground he finished a smart second at Royal Ascot which makes him a huge player here.

14:25 - Final Song 2/1

Another Group Three follows up the first race this time with the contest coming over seven furlongs and we are looking for a quick-fire Saeed bin Suroor and Oisin Murphy double with Final Song.

The filly has raced three times in her short career, getting off the mark nicely on debut in a Class 4 at Ascot on soft ground and then at the royal meeting over the same course and distance she finished third in the Group Two Queen Mary Stakes.

That form has since been franked with both first and second winning decent races.

Her latest start at Newmarket when upped to six furlong saw her finish a decent third behind some excellent juveniles who have again gone on to frank the form line.

She has been off for 13 weeks but with the form line she carries and handling softer conditions she looks tough to beat.

15:35 - Quadrilateral 9/4

The feature race on the Friday card at Newmarket is the bet365 Fillies Mile and we have sided with Quadrilateral for Roger Charlton.

This two year old is taking a huge step up in grade but has to be respected off the back of the ability she has shown in her two starts to date.

She landed a Class 4 in good style at Newbury on debut and then backed that up with an impressive win in a Class 2 conditions stakes at the same course.

Being a daughter of Frankel she will handle the soft ground and she has to be feared if handling her first crack at a Group one.

16:10 - Trueshan 12/1 & Skymax 16/1

The Old Rowley Cup sees a huge field of runners go to post for the Class 2 Handicap and with that in mind we have two selections in the contest.

The first runner from us is the Alan King trained Trueshan and this season the three year old has been very consistent racing three times and winning his first two races and was a strong second last time out.

He came from way off the pace in his toughest test to date in the 1 mile 6f handicap at Haydock on soft ground and if being closer to the pack in this one has every chance.

The other pick from us from an each way perspective is Skymax for trainer Ralph Beckett who was a really strong fourth from the front last time out in the Melrose Handicap at York and if going well again has to be in the mix.

16:45 - Elfin Queen

The penultimate selection of the day at Newmarket comes in the Class 3 Maiden Fillies Stakes over seven furlongs and the Aidan O'Brien trained Elfin Queen looks a big improver.

The two year old finished seventh of 18 runners on her debut that looks just like a run to get her used to racing with many of O'Brien's runners normally coming on strongly for the run.

We believe this will be the case for the juvenile who was bought for $1,200,000 as a yearling and looks to have a smart pedigree out of American Pharaoh.

17:20 - Fanny Logan

The final runner of the afternoon for us comes in the Group Three Darley Pride Stakes over 1 mile 2 furlongs and Fanny Logan for trainer John Gosden looks to have a superb chance.

The three year old filly has really shown what she's about in her last three runs racing at York, Yarmouth and Salisbury in Listed and Group three events and hosing up in all of them.

She is very versatile winning on good, good to firm and also soft ground so any conditions on Friday will not bother her and she is massively horse on the upgrade that has to be hugely respected in this one.
