12:25 - Hibernian Warrior

Lingfield hosts some superb races on Saturday and the first contest we have a fancy in is the Class 5 Novice Stakes over a mile and Hibernian Warrior looks the one to beat.

The Roger Varian trained two year old has only had one start but impressed nicely on debut finishing third in behind two smart horses.

New World Tapestry finished first in that race for Aidan O'Brien and then went into Group One Company on the all weather and that sets the form up nicely for this colt.

13:00 - Alrajaa

The Bombardier Golden Beer Class 2 Handicap over a mile sees a field of bright all weather runners go to post and John Gosden's Alrajaa takes the eye.

The three year old gelding has raced four times this season finishing second on his seasonal debut and then going on to land a hat-trick.

He is a highly progressive runner for top owner Hamdan Al Maktoum and although going up another seven pounds should have the class to land the four timer.

14:10 - Eva Maria

The first of the Listed contests on the day is the Gillies Fillies Stakes over 1 mile 2 furlongs and Eva Maria for Richard Fahey looks a huge improver for the yard.

This three year old has only raced five times in her short career getting better and better with every run and having three wins and two places to her name.

She is going in search of a hat-trick at Lingfield in this one and although stepping up in class looks a highly progressive filly to follow.

14:45 - Lord North 4/7

Arguably the feature contest of the meeting is the Listed Churchill Stakes over 1 mile 2 furlongs and Lord North for John Gosden is massively the one to beat.

The three year old has really come to life at the back end of this season landing the 30 runner Cambridgeshire Handicap and then a classy second in tough conditions at Ascot on British Champions Day.

He stepped into a Listed contest for the first time when last seen and handled the conditions well to score again at Newmarket in a nice event.

He is having his all weather debut today but looks a class above this field and should go well.

15:15 - Royal Birth 8/1

The penultimate race of the day comes in the last of the three Listed events on the card with the Golden Rose Stakes Showing off a solid field of runners.

We have sided with the Stuart Williams trained Royal Birth that has been superb consistent of late with two wins and a smart second in Class 2 and 3 events.

The gelding should handle the step up in class being one of the most experienced runners in the field and also having course and distance form.

15:45 - Thunderroad

The final selection of the afternoon on the all weather is the Class 6 Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs and Thunderroad for Tony Carroll can bring the house down.

This three year old gelding was struggling for form of late before a smart second at Southwell last time out over the same distance of today.

He is now one pound lower for that race which sees him down the weights and on a very attractive mark which could see him go well.
