Weight: 9-2

Days: 17

The first race of the afternoon on ITV is the All Weather 3 Year Old Championships Conditions Stakes and the horse we have gone with is the George Boughey trained Perdika.

This filly gets 5lb off the field for her sex allowance and although she has thrown in some average performances in her career, overall her form is strong.

Second three starts ago at Meydan behind classy sprinter Al Dasim from the same stable, she then stepped up to a mile against some good horses and she ultimately did not get the trip.

Dropped back down to 5.5f last time out at Chantilly in a decent Listed event on very soft ground she got back to winning ways in good style.

Rated the highest in the field and having form in what look better events, she should go close if staying in the same form.

Days: 58

Staying at Newcastle and the next event is the Marathon Championships Conditions Stakes and Berkshire Rocco at the top of the market will take all the beating.

Holding some decent back form, over the last two years he has been seen four times, tried at 1m4f for the first two runs where it didn't suit him, he was then bumped up to, two miles.

Since then he has been back to his best, if not better getting back to winning ways at the start of this year at Southwell in a Fast Track qualifier where he saw off talented runners in Rainbow Dreamer, Earlofthecotswolds and Dreal Deal, with the third since winning a decent race.

Sent to Kempton he ran another cracker behind a talented recruit for William Haggas in Earl Of Tyrone and that form sets the standard in this race.

Two miles is the key to this horse.

Dingle

J: Rossa Ryan
T: Julie Camacho
N/A
Age: 5
Weight: 9-4
OR: 84
Days: 29

The first race of the afternoon from Lingfield on ITV is the All Weather Vase Mile Handicap and we are taking on the top of the market with Dingle for Julie Camacho.

A horse with next to no form for Richard Hannon, he was moved yards and thrived since making the move, hitting the frame on all three of his runs.

On his first start for the yard he finished a good second behind the progressive Zealot off a mark of 77, he then went to Newcastle and finished third of seven, less than a length behind the eventual winner.

Using both those pieces of form he put it all together last time out back at Newcastle when winning comfortably off a mark of 78.

Upped to a mark of 84 he will have to take another step forward but with the inform Rossa Ryan in the saddle and drawn from stall 3, he can hit the frame at an each way price.

Days: 41

Back at Newcastle and next up is the Classic Middle Distance Championships Conditions Stakes and we are going with what looks the second string in the race for John & Thady Gosden, Harrovian.

A horse that acts better on the all weather and three starts back when returning to Lingfield he ran a cracker to finish third behind Missed The Cut and Dubai World Cup second Algiers in the Listed Churchill Stakes.

Sent to Newcastle over course and distance he was a close third behind stablemate and rival in this market Forest Of Dean.

However, last time out he reversed that form with the Godolphin horse when a good fourth behind Lord North in the Group Three Winter Derby Stakes.

Foxes Tales back in third has also since franked the form and off the back of that run Harrovian should be ahead of Forest Of Dean in the market and because he isn't, he is the selection at the prices.

Billy Loughnane

Walking On Clouds

J: Billy Loughnane
T: Grant Tuer
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-5
OR: 83
Days: 23

Another tricky event across the afternoon is the Sprint Handicap from Lingfield and Walking On Clouds for Grant Tuer is a highly consistent performer.

Not out of the top three in his last 10 runs going back to December 2022, going up through the handicap has not fazed him constantly putting in good performances.

Although he has not managed to win on his last three runs he has been trialled at 5f, 6f and 7f, but in his last two runs he has been less than a length behind the winner.

Back at 6f for this event is a bonus as it was the distance of his last win and it looks to be the trip he performs at best.

Another big factor is that star claimer Billy Loughnane takes off 5lb in this event which effectively sees him race off 78 which is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark.

Berkshire Shadow

J: Oisin Murphy

Age: 4
Weight: 9-7
OR: 111
Days: 27

One of our best selections of the afternoon comes in the All Weather Mile Championships Conditions Stakes and Berkshire Shadow can make it a special day for his owners.

A quality horse during his career especially as a juvenile when winning on career debut and then going to Royal Ascot where he took the Group Two Coventry Stakes with ease.

Second in the Group Two Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood when upped to 7f, since then he lost his way never getting involved in the finish albeit in some good races, but as a three year old he did not seem to progress like connections thought he would.

However, this season he bounced back to form in a big way at Wolverhampton on seasonal debut when seeing off Angel Bleu easily to land the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes at Wolves.

That is a perfect prep run heading into this race and although stepping back up to a mile this does not look the strongest race in the world and he is by far the best horse in the race.

Outbreak

N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-5
OR: 91
Days: 27

The final event from Lingfield on Friday on ITV is the All Weather Vase Middle Distance Handicap over 1m2f and Outbreak for Charlie Johnston brings some solid form to the table.

Fifth of 13 on his first run of the year at Wolves over 1m 1 1/2f off a mark of 86 in a decent contest, he then got back to winning ways at Lingfield over a mile when beating two nice types in Notre Belle Bete and Diderot who he takes on again here.

Back at Wolves last time out in the Lincoln Trial when a good fourth behind some smart types, not having the best of starts, getting a clearer passage through on Friday should see him go closer.

Aramis Grey

J: Callum Shepherd
T: Rae Guest
N/A
Age: 6
Weight: 9-2
OR: 93
Days: 48

The penultimate selection of the afternoon comes in the Fillies' And Mares' Championships Conditions Stakes and at a price Aramis Grey for Rae Guest can go well.

A highly consistent horse since October for connections winning at Chelmsford at October in good style and off the back of that he went to Kempton over 6f and made it 2/2 off a mark of 85.

Up to a mark of 90 in November over the same C&D at Kempton he ran another cracker to finish a head second and then at Southwell on New Year's Day he was another good second behind the market leader in this race.

The Bridesmaid for a third straight race behind the progressive Annaf, he then got back to winning ways at Lingfield last time out beating Listed Cammidge Trophy winner Vadream.

Aramis Grey does not have much to find with the favourite in this race who is 5/4 and with him being much bigger at 16/1 he is worth playing here.

Annaf

J: James Doyle
T: Michael Appleby
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-7
OR: 108
Days: 62

To finish the ITV show on Friday we have gone with the very progressive Annaf for Mick Appleby to land the Sprint Championships Conditions Stakes.

A horse we thought had bundles of ability when running at this meeting last year and only rated 89, he has put it all together in 2023 landing a hat-trick of wins and now being rated 108.

A winner at Lingfield in a Handicap off 101 over 6f when beating Silky Wilkie who has since won races, he then went to Kempton and made it back to back victories seeing off Aramis Grey.

Stepped up in Listed company at Lingfield in the Kachy Stakes he pulled it out the first again to beat rival in the market Dilligent Harry.

It is hard to see Clive Cox's horse reversing the form and we are sticking with Annaf to land the four timer.
