Dundalk Friday Preview Under The Lights

17:00 - Amanaat 11/4

The first horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Racing TV Handicap over 5 furlongs and we have gone for the top weighted Amanaat to land the spoils.

His best performances have come over this C&D winning two and placing in the other of his three runs over it including last time out where he won comfortably. Now up just 5lbs from that run he still looks the one to beat

17:30 - Georgian Bay 7/4

The second horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Claiming Race over 1 mile 2 1/2 furlongs and we have gone for the Adrian McGuinness trained Georgian Bay.

One of the more consistent horses around this level in Ireland, he’s in the form of his live placing in six of his last seven races which included back to back wins over a mile here.

A disappointing 12th of 14 here last time out shouldn’t be looked into too much and now back up to the extended mile and a quarter distance he should be well in the mix

18:00 - High Street Lady 10/1

The next horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Handicap over 1 mile 2 1/2 furlongs and we have gone for the A J Martin trained High Street Lady to land the spoils.

She broke her maiden over C&D at the second time of asking in March last year in a minor event and if recapturing that sort of form today she will be in the mix in this contest.

Has looked poor since but now down to her lowest mark since handicapping over a C&D where she’s proven she could well provide a shock.

18:30 - Pampushka 9/4

The fourth horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Mares Maiden race over 1 mile and we have gone for Pampushka with handy three pound claimer Oisin Orr on board.

This four year old is back on the flat after an unsuccessful try over hurdles, she looked promising on debut over C&D here at the end of last year and she’s most definitely the stand out filly in the field.

19:00 - Rehoboth Beach 10/1

The next horse of the night from Dundalk comes in another maiden over 1 mile and we have gone for the Jospeh O'Brien trained debutant Rehoboth Beach to go on and land this contest.

Out of Group 1 winner and 2nd in the 2011 Derby TREASURE BEACH, he’s now trained Treasure Beach’s trainers son, Joseph O’Brien. He looks the standout horse of the debutants in this field.

Seamie Heffernan gets the ride on this three year old and this experienced jockey should be able to find the best out of this juvenile.

19:30 - Latchet 4/1

The next horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Handicap over 1 mile and we have gone for the Jim Bolger trained five year old mare Latchet.

She has been upped 7lbs from her latest win here two weeks ago, the 7lbs claim of the jockey takes off that penalty and if being as consistent as last time could land a quick fire double.

Jim Bolger is also in fine form with his nags training at a 66.7% strike rate over the past two weeks.

20:00 - Empire Line 6/4

The penultimate horse of the night from Dundalk comes in another maiden over 7 furlongs and we have gone for Empire Line who is looking to get off the mark for the first time in his career.

This Holy Roman Emperor colt (2006 Phoenix Stakes winner), this is a horse who is bred for speed. Maiden after four outings but the fact he’s gone off fav in every race shows that this is a horse with plenty of expectation and in what looks to be a relatively weak maiden field.

We should see him get off the mark here off the back of three seconds in a row, needs some luck in the running aswell.

20:30 - Confident Kid 11/1

The last horse of the night from Dundalk comes in the Ashbrooks Food Handicap over 6 furlongs and we have gone for the Damian English trained Confident Kid.

A maiden after 18 runs, he started to pick up some sort of form towards the end of last year until being upped 7lbs for his first run of 2019 where he finished a disappointing 8th of 11. Now down 6lbs to a mark of 57 and back up in trip to 6f, he has the potential to be great e/w value with an added bonus of a seven pound claimer.
