"Arecibo is the shortest price of our three in the race and he is a horse with an abundance of ability, but he is a quirky character who is difficult to win with.
"We have taken the headgear off him for Wednesday's run and we are opening that can rejuvenate him, but it is more in hope than expectation.
"If he does put his head down and try he is well handicapped and would go close but we are just hoping that the change in headgear works for him."
"Muscika is probably the biggest price of the three but his two runs at York this season will give you some hope that he could run a big race with Silvestre de Sousa taking the ride.
