4:00 - Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint

Marley’s Freedom - 5/4

Golden chance for Bob Baffert to kick off Day 2 of the Breeders Cup meeting with a winner in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. Marley's Freedom won the Ketel One Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga back in August, and has been kept safe for this event here. That result completed a hat-trick of fine wins, and will certainly be in the frame come the finish.

4:38 - Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint

Stormy Liberal - 4/1

Arrives here again, having won this race at massive odds last season - and if anything it wasn't really much of a shock. Totally discounted, he has had the perfect preparation over the summer, and no chance the bookies will allow him to go off anywhere near the price he was twelve months ago. Worth a market check.

5:16 - Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

Catalina Cruiser - 1/1

Another race, another favourite which will be hard to see past. Won two Grade 2's in good fashion in July and August, and looks set to be ready for the jump up to Championship level. John Sadler trains.

6:04 - Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf

Wild Illusion - 2/1

After finding one too good in both the Epsom Oaks and the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot earlier this season, Wild Illusion arrives here in cracking form – most recently winning the Prix de l’Opera on Arc weekend. She also won the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood in some style back in August, and holds a strong hand here. Wuheida won here in the same colours last year, and the yard going for another big win.

6:46 - Breeders' Cup Sprint

Roy H - 9/4

Won this race last season, but failed to land a blow at short odds in the Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan in March. Returned to form in October, winning the Sprint Championship Stakes at Santa Anita. Work cut out with Imperial Hint going to post too.

7:36 - Breeders' Cup Mile

Expert Eye - 7/1

Much improved this season after disappointing in the Dewhurst and the end of the last. Won the Jersey Stakes in emphatic style at Royal Ascot in June, before finishing a close second in the Qatar Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Good chance of adding an International win to the trophy cabinet, and now running regularly at his preferred distance.

8:16 - Breeders' Cup Distaff

Monomoy Girl - 13/8

Brad Cox holds a strong hand in the Distaff with Monomoy Girl, who although was first past the post in the Cotillion Stakes at Parx in September, she was later placed second. Ignoring that, she's won five of her last six - the defeat came in her maiden when she only went down a neck. Clearly possesses a lot of ability, and is the one for passing here.

8:56 - Breeders' Cup Turf

Enable - 1/2

One of the world’s best, dual Arc winner Enable, is the standout runner in this field, and surely is not for catching. Her preparation for the Arc was not ideal; just the one run at Kempton and that was not even on the Turf, yet she still just about prevailed at Longchamp. Gosden has confirmed she is now fully fit, and a verdict on her racing future will be made after this race, when fingers crossed, she puts in another breathtaking performance. Frankie Dettori has the ride.

9:44 - Breeders' Cup Classic

Roaring Lion - 6/1

What a season this horse has had. Winner of the Juddmonte International, Coral Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes, and most recently - the QEII on Champions Day. Trainer strongly represented in the Turf with Enable, so the lion deservedly takes his chance on the dirt on what will be his final race before being retired to stud. Owes his connections nothing, and worth a crack at the $6 million purse.
