18:55 - Bellafina 12/1

We start at Santa Anita on the second and final day of the Breeders Cup meeting with the first Grade One of the evening in the Filly and Mare Sprint over seven furlongs.

We fancy the Simon Callaghan trained Bellafina who started her season in fine style landing a Hat-trick but since she has been below par and will need to find her early season form.

What makes this filly appealing is her record at Santa Anita having raced four times and winning all of her contests, with the track being very unique this could give her a huge edge on the field.

19:33 - Pure Sensation 13/2

The Breeders Cup Turf Sprint over a stiff five furlongs sees the best American turf sprinters in the business and Pure Sensation for trainer Christophe Clement looks interesting.

This eight year old has been at the peak of his career form this season with four wins from five runs all of them coming from a new forward running tactic that has played to his strengths.

The gelding is very versatile when it comes to ground but last time out did win over the same conditions as he will get on Saturday evening.

20:10 - Omaha Beach 5/4

One of the big favourites of the meeting for the American punters is Omaha Beach in the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile and this three year old looks a tough horse to beat.

He has raced five times this year including three times at Santa Anita and has won four of those events, finishing second in the other and has just shown class and ability in every run.

He has been raced at different distances from six furlongs up to nine but overall has settled better at a mile and holds the best Grade one winning form in the contest.

20:54 - Sistercharlie 1/1

The Filly and Mare Turf wis set to be a huge spectacle with British and Irish raiders looking to dominate the race but we believe the Americans have enough to seal the victory.

Sistercharlie for trainer Chad Brown has some of the best from seen by a mare in the world landing seven Grade One races in her career including being unbeaten in her last six events.

She is the evens favourite for a reason but having the advantage of handling tracks like this better than the raiders and heading into the race off the back of some strong form she will take all the beating.

21:36 - Imperial Hint 10/3

Imperial Hint is our next selection in the Breeders Cup Sprint on the dirt track over six furlongs and this six year old looks like a little pocket rocket and perfect for this contest.

This horse is not as big as many of the others but has speed in abundance having already placed twice in this Grade One before and now ready for a serious crack at winning it.

He enters the event off the back of two solid wins in Grade One events at Saratoga and Belmont and if running to the same standard will not be far away.

10:20 - Uni 4/1

The Breeders Cup Turf Mile is another contest that starts to see the British and Irish raiders flooding in but we are still going with an American horse in Uni for trainer Chad Brown.

This five year old mare is held in high regard over in the US for her exploits during her career but also what she has done this season seeing her supplemented late for $100,000.

She has six wins in her last seven contests mostly in Grade one contests and on her latest start she lowered the track record at Keeneland which is unreal form entering this one.

11:00 - Midnight Bisou 5/4

The Breeders Cup Distaff on dirt is a classy contest and the Steve Asmussen trained Midnight Bisou looks to be one of the bakers of the weekend.

This four year old filly has raced seven times in 2019 and won all of them in good style ranging from Grade Three's to grade one contests.

This obviously sets the form standard heading into the race and if she can perform to the same standard she has done all year she should make it through the year unbeaten.

11:40 - Anthony Van Dyck 5/2

The penultimate race of the afternoon sees our only Irish raider fancy for the meeting with Epsom Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck in the Breeders Cup Turf.

Aidan O'Brien's youngster was an exciting recruit for the yard having a superb pedigree out of Galileo and as a two year old he showed clear signs of potential winning three of his seven starts including the Group Two Futurity Stakes at the Curragh.

As a three year old the colt obviously wintered well and made a superb return to action at Lingfield in a Derby trial where he blew away the field in the Listed event.

He was sent straight to the Epsom Derby off the back of that prep run with freshness a big skill of his and at odds of 13/2 took the Classic spoils for his trainer.

He gave a career best performance under a super ride from Seamie Heffernan, getting over to the far side rail and just getting up on the line in a three way photo-finish.

Since then he has been below his usual form, only managing a second in his bid for the Irish Derby which was won by his trainer with the outsider of the field Sovereign staying on the best of the pack.

He then went to Ascot in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and was outclassed by the field only beating one home but the actual form of that race is outstanding.

His last run to date came at Leopardstown in the Irish Champion Stakes where he was a much better third behind super filly Magical that has since gone on to take another Group One.

He has had a over a month off in preparation for his run in America and after being backed in the market his is due a big run to end his season.

12:44 - Code Of Honor 4/1

The final runner of the meeting comes in the feature of the meeting the Breeders Cup Classic on the dirt and we like Code Of Honor.

This three year old colt has been highly progressive this season running to a high standard in all of his events not finishing outside the placings all year and winning three of his seven events.

In his last two outings he has been stepped up to 1 mile 2 furlongs and looked a much stronger horse coming from off the pace and putting in some near perfect performances.

He looks to have a big say in this expensive contest.
