The final event of the afternoon on ITV sees the Listed Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes over 1m4f and Military Order for Godolphin looks a superstar in waiting.

Seen three times to date, the full brother to Derby winner Adayar who was second in this event, Military Order was fourth of 10 on debut at Newmarket learning plenty for the experience.

Stepped up to a mile for his second event as a juvenile he got off the mark in good style beating stable mate Ancient Rules by just under a length.

Stepped up again in trip for his seasonal debut this term over 1m2f at Newbury, he looked a class apart when bolting up by four lengths under a penalty.

He goes up again to 1m4f but from his pedigree this trip will suit him down to the ground and he can lay down a big marker for the Epsom feature.

Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby - Lingfield

Charlie Appleby is looking to strengthen his credentials for the Oaks and Guineas later in the summer at Lingfield with two of his set to have good chances in the Trials.

The first is the three year old filly Eternal Hope who has been seen twice to date and now takes her chance in the oaks Trial off the back of a good win last time out.

In the Derby Trial one of his leading contenders for the Epsom feature is Military Order who is a full brother to 2021 Derby winner Adayar.

Appleby is currently running at a 22% strike rate for the last two weeks, managing to land six winners from his 22 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Adam Farragher - Ascot

Adam Farragher is a leading claimer on the flat and has picked up some nice rides at Ascot on Saturday with some yards number one riders at Lingfield and Haydock.

Farragher starts the afternoon on board the William Haggas trained Nathanael Greene who tops the market in the 1m4f Class 3 Handicap.

He rides for William Haggas again in the second again on the favourite with Timeless Melody a nice winner last time out and now handicapping can progress again.
