Who To Follow From Longchamp On Thursday

Horse To Follow - Ocean Atlantique

In the second race of the day we see the first Group Three event on the card and Ocean Atlantique for the master Andre Fabre looks to be a top prospect for the yard.

Owned by the well renowned Coolmore operation, the three year old colt can blossom into a star this season and is thought of very highly at home.

Having been bought for €1,100,000 as a two year old, the son of American Pharoah finished a good second on debut at Saint-Cloud over a mile and then over the same course and distance got off the mark in fine style.

Having those two runs under his belt will put him in good stead for this season and he looks to handle both good and soft conditions.

Trainer To Follow - Andre Fabre

The master French trainer Andre Fabre has probably not had the start to the season he was hoping for with Victor Ludorum not firing on Monday but you can never right the great trainer off.

The trainer has only managed one winner so far since the return to racing with Tropbeau taking the Group Three Prix de la Grotte in decent fashion.

However, it only seems a matter of time before his horses will be back in the winners enclosure and with five entries at Longchamp on Thursday he has to be taken seriously.

He has had some great fortune over the years at this special track and overall has landed 240 winners running at a strike rate of 20%.

His stand out runners include Ocean Atlantique and Arapho.

Jockey To Follow - Pierre-Charles Boudot

At ParisLongchamp on Thursday we are expecting Arc winner Pierre-Charles Boudot to run riot with some of the rides he has on offer.

The French rider has been a shining light in the sport in the last few years and has started this season with a bang especially at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday when landing a double.

Overall, he has landed four winners since Monday and is running at a strike rate of just under 20% that can be added to with rides like Ocean Atlantique, Emoji and Arapho.

The rider has the pick of the rides on the card for Thursday sitting on three favourites and three second favourited across the day.
