Who To Follow At Sandown On Saturday - 05/02/22

Trainer To Follow - Nigel Twiston-Davies

Nigel Twiston-Davies only sends a small team to Sandown on Saturday but it looks a very impressive bunch of horses that all should go close.

His best chance of a winner on the day comes in the Listed Contenders Hurdle with Guard Your Dreams looking to get back to winning ways.

Another big chance for the handler is the six year old Beauport in the Grade Three Handicap Hurdle with the gelding holding leading claimes.

Twiston-Davies has had a fantastic season to date and these two runners can go close to extend his hot-streak.

Jockey To Follow - Charlie Deutsch

Finally, the jockey to follow on Saturday at the Esher track is Charlie Deutsch who alongside his retained handler Venetia Williams has been nothing short of excellent all season.

On Saturday his first big chance comes on Frero Banbou who was a lovely winner at Lingfield last time out in heavy ground and already a course and distance winner at this track should go well again.

In the feature Grade One Scilly Isles Chase he sits on L'Homme Presse who is looking to make it 4/4 over hurdles and land his first big event.

Another nice runner for Deutsch is the talented Green Book in the Grade Three Handicap Hurdle and although unseating last time out still retains his potential.

The rider heads into the weekend sporting a strike rate of 28% strike rate for the last two weeks having managed five winners from his last 18 rides.
