The feature event of the day at Meydan is the Group Two Singspiel Stakes over 1m1f and it could be a special day for Charlie Appleby if Royal Fleet bolts in.

The four year old son of Dubawi has been has been a revelation for the Godolphin yard, winning all three of his first starts in taking style, with his final victory of three coming in a value handicap at Newmarket.

Looking to make it 4/4 at York he had to settle for fifth in a competitive handicap, but bounced back on his final run of the season at Doncaster.

Given a break he returned at Meydan in January and made a superb seasonal debut when a good second in the Group Two Al Rashidiya and if building on that has leading claims over the same course and distance.

Trainer To Follow - Doug O'Neill

American trainer Doug O'Neill heads to Meydan on Friday with some live chances up and down the card and having been in fine form over the last two weeks he looks the trainer to follow.

The first big chance of the day is the Group Three UAE 2000 Guineas and Get Back Goldie holds leading claims if building on his win at the track last time out.

In the Listed Curlin Stakes he fields the likeable Appreciated who ran well over nine furlongs last time out and should go well over the further furlong.

Finally, in the final race of the afternoon he holds big claims with Positivity who has been knocking on the door of late and having his first try at Meydan is an interesting runner.

O'Neill heads into the meeting sporting a 29% strike rate for the last two weeks, landing two winners from seven races.

Jockey To Follow - James Doyle

The jockey to follow in Friday is James Doyle, who although being the second string rider for Appleby and Godolphin has some leading claims across the day.

In the first race of the day he sits on Kingswear who holds some decent form in England and if converting that over to Meydan looks to have a big chance.

In the Listed Business Bay Challenge he sits on Modern News, who is another that impressed last term in England and is now looking for a four timer.

Doyle sits on Royal Fleet in the feature Group Two event with the highly consistent four year old looking to build on his latest second over the same course and distance.
