Sticking with the theme of York as the big Ebor festival gets underway next week and having looked back at the 2019 Nunthorpe Stakes yesterday we look at the 2018 renewal today.
Last year Battaash was the best horse in the field and proved that by going clear of his rivals and managing to break the course record.
2018's version of events went very different with a Alpha Delphini, a 40/1 outsider winning in a photo finish against a Group One winner in Mabs Cross.
It was one of the tightest photo finishes to ever be called in the sport and it was great for racing with the trainer and connections of the winner over the moon.
