Three Standout Performances - 23/11/2018

13:00 - Wenyerreadyfreddie

Despite jumping noticeably left, Wenyerreadyfreddie made all to win the Ascot opener; the Tindle Newspapers Novices' Chase.

An easy course and distance winner of a handicap earlier this month, he set the standard beforehand, having been heavily penalised for that Ascot success.

He fought off the late challenges of both Kildisart and Azzerti to land the spoils, for the returning Nico de Boinville, who rides Might Bite in the Betfair Chase at Haydock tomorrow.

13:40 - Emitom

Emitom was eased down in the closing stages of the myracing.com For Free Bets & Tips Maiden Hurdle at Ffos Las this afternoon, and looks to have a touch of class about him.

2 from 2 in bumpers, and pedigree suggested before hand that the longer trip would suit. That it certainly did, racing wide and held up in the early stages.

He made good headway tracking leaders 5th, went 2nd travelling well over 4 out, and soon led 2 from the finish.

Was well clear, and won hard held. Smart performance for Warren Greatrex.

14:05 - Didtheyleaveuoutto

Didtheyleaveuoutto just denied the unbeaten Thomas Darby in the David Brownlow Charitable Foundation 'Introductory' Hurdle, in an intriguing finish.

Smart in bumpers, he won narrowly on his hurdle debut at Fakenham, and won by a similar margin this afternoon.

Close up, he made headway to track leaders 2 out, and was ridden to join leader. He was driven by Geraghty to lead narrowly towards finish, and ran on smartly.
