The first race of the second meeting of the 2022 Racing League could go to Ireland with Brunel Charm a very consistent performer.

Only finishing outside the placings in one of his last 10 races, he really does run his race and although creeping up the handicap, he should still go close.

A winner over course and distance at the end of July in a Class 4 Handicap off 73, he went to Kempton last time out off 77 and was a neck second.

Only 1lb higher off a mark of 78 with Tyler Heard taken 3lb off, he has a big chance effectively off 75 being drawn well.

Reversion

Another event over seven furlongs this time in Class 3 company and Reversion for Alan King and the Scottish team should go close if getting over from stall 9.

Finding it tough this season with his mark of 77 at the back end of last season being hard to shrug off, last time out he was seen back to his best when second at Sandown over 7f off a mark of 69.

Only up 1lb for that, he gets some weight in this field and if being in similar form he looks an each way player.

Sunningdale

Sunningdale for Paul & Oliver Cole could be overpriced in this field now handicapping with the 50,000gns son of Gleneagles set to have a bright future.

Making his debut in April at Windsor over 5f when finishing a fair fourth, he then went into the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot and found a few too good, but was not overly behind some of them.

The form of that race has worked out well with the winner finishing a narrow second in a Group Two and the third since winning a Group Three.

Sunningdale went down to 6f last time out and was fourth in a Novice Stakes at Newbury and now given a mark of 79, he looked to have been set up for this company and with a plumb draw.

Zenga

Weight: 9-12
OR: 85
Days: 37

A race full of horses of similar ability makes it a tricky betting proposition but Zenga just gets the tentative edge if running to the form of her latest win.

A respectable fourth and third in her first two starts, she put it all together last time out on all weather debut at Wolves over 9.5f when absolutely bolting up.

Now making her handicap debut there should be much more to come off 85 and she looks a big talent.

Tim Easterby landed a winner on the first week of the Racing League last week for team Yorkshire and has a big chance again at Lingfield Jewel Maker.

Winning two of his last four events with a nice placed effort in between, he showed last time out he stays this distance well and could stay on an upward curve.

Up 4lb for his latest win his mark could still be workable and drawn better than some near the top of the market makes him interesting.

Neandra

Weight: 8-12
OR: 86
Days: 19

The penultimate race on the second week of the Racing League is the Class 3 Handicap over 1m4f and Neandra for Andrew Balding looks to have a big chance and could be one of our best bets of the day.

Third over 10f at Chelmsford on her debut in December 2021, she then went to Lingfield over the same trip when beating a nice type for John & Thady Gosden.

Stepped up to 1m4f at Leicester next time out he was a close up third in a Restricted Novices event, but got back to winning ways last time out on handicap debut.

A six length victor over course and distance at Lingfield, she has gone up 8lb but could still have more left in the tank and looks a promising type.

Blame It On Sally

Age: 6
Weight: 8-13
OR: 72
Days: 29

The final event on week two from Lingfield is the Alan King trained Blame It On Sally for Scotland and the gelding could have snuck under the radar in this one.

Tried over hurdles and on the flat throughout his career, he seems to do his best work on the level on the all weather.

Seen for the first time since 2020 over course and distance last time out he was a bright second behind a nice type for Lucy Wadham and off the same mark has to be feared.

Second run after a wind op.
