One Horse, One Jockey And One Trainer To Watch This Weekend

Horse To Follow - Rathill

The horse to follow on Saturday is the Nicky Henderson trained Rathill in the Unibet Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle and this six year old holds a lot of potential for the Seven Barrows yard and his owner J P McManus.

A lot of McManus horses were entered into this race originally and were from the Henderson yard but this is the only one to stay in the contest meaning this must be there best chance and it has to be a strong contender.

He is the current market leader at 6/5 and he has only raced twice in his career. He came second on his debut point to point in Ireland and since then went to Newbury and beat a 20 runner field to comfortably land a Class 4.

This Grade 1 is a huge step up but he offers a lot of potential and could turn into a hurdling superstar.

Trainer To Follow - Venetia Williams

The trainer to follow is the inform Venetia Williams who has a strike rate of 29 percent for the last two weeks seeing eight of her horses out of a possible 28 go on to win and she has picked up some decent prize money with Aso at Cheltenham being one of the best.

Williams has a great chance at Wincanton on Saturday in the Class 2 Handicap over 2 miles 4 furlongs and Calipto is the horse who can extend her great run of form.

The female trainer normally with her horses is always looking for soft or heavy ground and whenever this season there has been a slight bit of rain she has done well but this horse on Saturday is one of the few that likes good ground and she is going to try and take advantage of that.

Jockey To Follow - Bryony Frost

The jockey to follow for this weekend is the leading female jumps jockey in Britain at the moment in Bryony Frost.

Over the pst few years she has established herself as not just a good female jockey but just an outstanding rider as a whole and has some favourable rides especially on Saturday.

She rides at Wincanton for her trainer Paul Nicholls who is in fine form but could pick up some nice winners having some horses at the top of the betting market in there respective races.

One of her stand out rides comes in the Class 3 Novice Limited Handicap with the John Hales owned The Dellercheckout.

This owner has seen his horses flourishing this season with Ibis Du Rheu, Politologue and Aux Ptits Sions all winning this season and Bryony will be hoping for the same on this grey horse.
