ITV Racing Tips for Today - Sunday 16th November

The ITV racing cameras are live from Cheltenham and Fontwell on Sunday 16th November. Featuring the Greatwood Hurdle and a hot looking listed bumper at Cheltenham. Fontwell hosting the Southern National. We've gone through all the live races to pick out our tips and selections for the afternoon's live racing.

Gaelic Pride 11/2

Match fit from a recent run in a maiden hurdle when coming 2nd behind a nice looking sort at Fontwell. Won a bumper on soft ground and looks like he’ll handle these conditions and enjoy the stamina test.

Kim Roque 6/1

An interesting acquisition for Joseph O’Brien from France, Winning a chase over there in May and coming 2nd when last seen in June. Moves to a good yard in Ireland and could be absolutely chucked in off a mark of 123. Carries a light weight and will handle the ground. Looks interesting on stable debut.

Ivane 17/2

Looks an out and out stayer and probably wasn’t suited by the small field last time out when getting beaten by Shantou Lucky. Gets a swing in the weights with that rival and still isn’t badly treated off a mark of 118.

Dr T J Eckleburg 12/1

Handles deep ground well and defied a mark of 125 at Chepstow to win well last season on soft ground before the handicapper took a grip. Didn’t put in much of an effort in a deep race here last month but dropped in the weights and eased in grade with conditions to suit, he can get right in the mix.

Latenightpass 18/1

He simply loves Cheltenham and although most of his running at this course comes on the X-Country course, he stays well and almost always is in the mix coming up the hill. Isn’t getting any younger at the old age of 12 but if he retains his ability he’ll stay past beaten horses in this stamina sapping test.

Knickerbockerglory 12/1

The Skeltons might well hold the key to this but not with the more fancied runner Mirabad, with the ground being slow and testing it might be worth siding with Knickerbockerglory. A winner on heavy ground on seasonal comeback last season, he ran well off his revised mark for the rest of last season on ground that was probably a little too fast. The right underfoot conditions and a 7lbs claimer in the saddle he can get into the frame with as many as 6 places on offer.
