Finished last beaten 6 lengths in the Doncaster Cup behind Trueshan when last seen.
Had been in great form prior to that this season finishing placed in both the Ascot Gold Cup and Goodwood Cup before winning the Lonsdale Cup at York.
Needs to bounce back here after Doncaster though and the more rain that falls doesn't help his chances.
Won all six of his starts in 2022 including four Group 1s.
Returned from a 344 day absence when 2nd in the Irish St Ledger behind Eldar Eldarov 41 days ago.
That run should of put him spot on for this and soft or heavy ground should hold no fears.
Looked a horse who would really go onto dominate this division for years to come in 2022.
10yo who has been a really good servant to connections on the flat, over hurdles and over fences.
Has ran well a couple of times this season but is nowhere near the level required to win this.
Been a really progressive stayer this season winning three times and finishing 2nd on both his last two starts in the Ebor and behind Trueshan in the Doncaster Cup.
Slower ground is no issue for this horse and he has huge each way claims at the prices.
Won easily on his last two starts but they have been in 3 & 4 runner races and he has gone off odds on both times.
Won the Ebor last year before finishing third in this race.
Clearly has talent but this is a deeper renewal than in 2022 and doubt he wants the ground too testing.
Been an absolute superstar for connections and has won the last three renewals of this race as well as many other top prizes in his career.
Looked to be on the way down at the start of this season but got his career firmly back on track the last twice after wind surgery, winning the Doncaster Cup and then the Cadran at Longchamp.
Loves soft ground and another big run expected here.
Made all on his debut at Leicester back in April winning by 50 lengths.
Has shown nothing in three runs since.
Looks completely out of his depth here but should handle conditions.
