Charles Hills boasts two runners in the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye on Sunday in the form of Equality and Equilateral. The latter of those arrives at this contest on the back of winning a class two handicap at York last month, a neck ahead of Alligator Alley. That win came after he finished last of eleven in the G2 King George at Goodwood earlier on in August.

That win was his first since February 2021, when he claimed success in the Group Two Meydan Sprint, suggesting his best days might be behind him. He's not completely dismissed in the hands of Jamie Spencer.

Age: 8
Weight: 9-11

Days: 35

Nicolas Caullery has one horse in this Group One event in France on Sunday int he form of Batwan. The eight-year-old has been heavily raced since his debut back in 2018, winning four times at La Teste De Buch, ParisLongchamp, and twice at Meydan, with the most recent of those coming in a handicap last term. He arrives here on the back of finishing third in a group three event at Deauville last month.

The market outsider of the field looks unlikely to claim victory here and is one that probably won't figure too much.

Age: 7

Days: 15

Mathieu Boutin sends one of his runners to this group one event at ParisLongchamp with join-market outsider Tudo Bem. The seven-year-old joins Batwan as a current 50/1 shot for the group one race after finishing tenth of 16 last time out at Chantilly in a minor handicap. His last win came at that same course back in October last year, when taking the Listed Prix de Bonneval Stakes by a length to the 2/1 favourite Loubeisien.

This race will be tougher and it is difficult to see him getting close to the leaders on recent form. Hugo Boutin will do the steering.

Mauricio Delcher Sanchez sends one runner to the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye in the form of Coeur De Pierre. The seven-year-old arrives here as a current 6/1 shot on the back of winning a group three here earlier this month by a head to Ponntos. That had followed some inconsistent form, which included a run on British soil, when he finished eighth in the Group One Jubilee at Royal Ascot back in June.

The gelding is experienced in France and over this sort of distance so should be in with a chance towards the end of this one. Tony Piccone is booked to ride.

Days: 21

Tim Easterby has one in this group one event over four furlongs on Sunday in the shape of his six-year-old Art Power. The gelding arrives at this contest on the back of a couple of below-par outings, finishing fifth at Deauville before finishing sixth of ten in the Group One Flying Five Stakes at Curragh earlier this month. He last won at that course in July in the Group Two Sapphire Stakes so there is no reason why he can't go well here.

Oisin Murphy is booked to ride and the six-year-old should go better than his last couple of outings.

Charles Hills has two runners in this 4f Group One Prix de l'Abbaye at ParisLongchamp on Sunday in the form of Equilateral and Equality. The latter has won twice this year, at Windsor (C2) and more impressively at Sandown, winning the Group Three Coral Charge over five furlongs by just over a length to Makarova. It hasn't been as easy since then, but a third-place finish finish in the Group One Flying Five Stakes at Curragh should provide some encouragement for this one.

He can continue to do better but there are some good horses in this. Daniel Muscutt is booked to ride.

N/A
Age: 6
Weight: 9-7

Days: 21

John Quinn sends one runner to the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye in France on Sunday in the form of current market favourite Highfield Princess. The six-year-old has managed to win once this season at Goodwood last month, winning the Group Two King George by three lengths to White Lavender over five furlongs. He hasn't managed to replicate that form recently and finished fifth in a group one at Curragh earlier this month before heading to France for this one.

If he's back on song, he is probably the one to beat in what feels like not the strongest group one in the world. Jason Hart is on board.

Yann Barberot sends one runner to this group one contest at ParisLongchamp on Sunday in the shape of Bouttemont. The five-year-old arrives at this contest on the back of a disappointing show in the Group One Flying Five Stakes at Curragh earlier this month, finishing ninth of ten behind a fair few of the runners in this race. He last claimed victory in the Listed Hampton Stakes at Chantilly in June, by two lengths (Tudo Bem in fourth).

This race is a lot tougher and others make more appeal on recent form. Christophe-Patrice Lemaire is booked to ride.

Miroslav Nieslanik has one runner in this group one event at ParisLongchamp in the form of Ponntos. The five-year-old arrives at this contest after finishing second here in the Group Three Prix du Petit Couvert over four furlongs earlier this month, a head behind fellow runner Coeur De Pierre. He has won here before over this distance last May in a group three event and is one of the runners in with a chance here.

The 109-rated runner can build on that recent form, despite this being a bit tougher.

Moss Tucker

OR: N/A
Days: 21

Ken Condon boasts one of his runners in the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye in France on Sunday in the form of Moss Tucker. The five-year-old arrives here probably in the best form of any of the 19 runners in this contest, having recorded two wins in a row at Curragh in the Group Three Phoenix Sprint Stakes and the Group One Flying Five Stakes earlier this month, ahead of a few of the runners in this contest.

There would be no surprise if he could make it three on the spin in this one and is in top form. William Lee will do the steering.

Clive Cox boasts two runners in this contest over four furlongs on Sunday with Kerdos and Get Ahead. The latter seems to be the more-fancied of Cox's two entries here after finishing half a length behind Moss Tucker last time out in the Group One Flying Five Stakes at Curragh earlier this month. Her last win came in a listed six furlong event at Haydock back in May, when she beat Kape Moss by just over a length.

There's every chance she could go well again here and figure late on in the race. Richard Kingscote is booked to ride.

Karl Burke sends two runners to the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye at ParisLongchamp on Sunday in the form of Dramatised and White Lavender. The latter of those arrives here on the back of finishing second at Goodwood in the Group Two King George Qatar Stakes over five furlongs in August, three lengths behind Highfield Princess. She last won in a group three event here back in May by just over a length to Perdika over the same distance as this race, which provides encouragement here.

Clifford Lee will do the steering on White Lavender for Burke in this contest.

Age: 4
Weight: 9-11

Days: 21

Maurizio Guarnieri sends one runner to this four furlong group one event in France on Sunday in the form of Asymmetric. The four-year-old is a bit more lightly raced compared to most of this field since debuting in 2021 and has recorded four bwins in his career so far. The most recent of those came in the Listed Du Cercle Stakes at Deauville last month, and he most recently finished third in a group three event here earlier this month, behind a few of these.

This will be tougher and others make more appeal on form. Frankie Dettori is booked to ride.

Ed Walker sends one runner to the Group One Prix de l’Abbaye in the form of Makarova. The four-year-old arrives at this contest on the back of finishing fourth in the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York towards the end of last month, with 7/5fav and fellow runner here Highfield Princess in second.

Makarova last won a listed contest at Ayr back in June this year but has been unable to replicate that sort of form since but could contest for a place here in the hands of Tom Marquand.

Days: 7

Aiden O’Brien sends one of his horses to this group one event at ParisLongchamp on Sunday with Aesop’s Fables. The three-year-old has won twice in his career so far, including the Group Two Futurity Stakes at Curragh but that early promise has finished somewhat since then, especially in recent times. He was last of 16 in the Nunthorpe at York as well as eight in the G1 Flying Five at Curragh and despite finishing third in the Group Three Renaissance Stakes last time out, this feels like he’s out of his depth.

The talented Ryan Moore is booked to ride but it would be a surprise if the colt won this one.

Weight: 9-7
OR: N/A

Karl Burke has two runners in this group one event over four furlongs at ParisLongchamp in the form of White Lavender and Dramatised. The latter arrives here on the back of finishing 13th of 16 in the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York and that followed a 15th place finish in the Group One King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. The filly is a winner of a couple of group two races in her early career so she has plenty of time to improve.

Whilst she’s not fully dismissed, those last two outings are a worry after such a promising start to her career.

Rogue Lightning

J: Robert Havlin
T: Tom Clover
N/A
Age: 3
Weight: 9-11

Days: 14

Tom Clover has one in this four furlong group one event on Sunday in France in the form of Rogue Lightning. The three-year-old arrives at this French contest on the back of a three-race win streak, coming at Doncaster (twice) and Ascot. The most recent of those victories has been the most impressive, fending off three rivals to win the Listed Scarborough Stakes at Doncaster earlier this month before returning to grouped company here.

The colt last raced in grouped company at Kempton last term and finished sixth of ten and a better effort is expected here. If he takes the step up well, he could be in with a real chance of causing an upset. Robert Havlin will do the steering.

OR: N/A
Days: 29

Clive Cox boasts two of his horses in the Group One Prix de l’Abbaye with Get Ahead and Kerdos. The latter arrives as the lesser-fancied of the Cox pair, but he won his last outing at Beverley over five furlongs by a half length to favourite Silky Wilkie. That was a listed event and he is yet to really make his mark at this sort of level with finishes of fifth and sixth on his last two grouped outings.

Could continue to progress but this is much tougher and would be causing a big upset if he was to win here. Rossa Ryan will do the steering.

George Boughey has one in this group one event at ParisLongchamp on Sunday in the form of his three-year-old Perdika. The filly arrives here on the back of finishing fifth in a listed sprint at Ayr earlier this month, which followed a sixth place finish in the Listed Garrowby Stakes at York a couple of weeks prior.

She landed a listed event at Chantilly in June but this is a much tougher ask and she’s unlikely to be able to win this on recent outings. Mickael Barzalona is booked to ride.
