Charles Hills boasts two runners in the Group One Prix de l'Abbaye on Sunday in the form of Equality and Equilateral. The latter of those arrives at this contest on the back of winning a class two handicap at York last month, a neck ahead of Alligator Alley. That win came after he finished last of eleven in the G2 King George at Goodwood earlier on in August.
That win was his first since February 2021, when he claimed success in the Group Two Meydan Sprint, suggesting his best days might be behind him. He's not completely dismissed in the hands of Jamie Spencer.
