Without a win in hurdles or bumpers, Charlie Longsdon's Almazhar Garde has taken to chasing like a duck to water with three victories from eight runs over the larger obstacles which has seen his handicap mark rise from as low as 114 to his now current mark of 133.
His latest victory came back in November at this course when he impressed with a two length victory off a mark of 130 over 2m 5f.
He's failed to build on that victory in his past two outings however now only 3lbs higher than that winning mark and down in trip was his last run, he's likely to be in the mix here and he's clearly fancied by the trainer.
