Leading dual purpose trainer Alan King's star novice chaser Edwardstone is set for one more run ahead of his tilt in the Grade One Arkle Challenge Trophy at Cheltenham, looking to head to Warwick for the Grade Two Kingmaker Novices' Chase.
The gelding has been exceptional since going over fences this term, having a slight hiccup on debut when being bought down at Warwick when travelling well, but next time out put things right over the same C&D when taking a decent two mile Novices' Chase.
Stepped up to Grade One company next time out he went on to improve once more to land the Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown, seeing off his closes rivals War Lord and Third Time Lucki by 16 lengths.

Trainer Alan King has been very impressed with the jumping of his eight year old this term and is looking to give him one more prep run ahead of the Cheltenham festival at Warwick on Saturday week.

âHe schooled very well on Monday and the plan is to go to Warwick on Saturday week.â
