Angers hosts its first jumps card of the year and gives jumps racing fans salvation for the day with a seven race card which gets underway earlier than the normal afternoon racing time in Britain with an 11.25am start time.

We have a full range of tips going through the card at the french national hunt track.

The 2016 Champion Jockey in France is back from a time away from the sport due to injury when falling at Pau back in December 2018.

He will be looking to get his season back up and running with just the one ride today on board Furax in the opening contest of the day.

Football On Offer

Football comes to the rescue on a fairly mellow Monday with some top class games with the best coming from the English Premier League where seventh placed Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Newcastle at the Molineux.

Wolves have silenced their doubters and made a really pleasing return to the England's top flight beating the teams around them whilst also taking points of some of the divisions Giants like Manchester City and Manchester Utd.

Newcastle sit 17th in the league and are just out of the relegation zone on goal difference and need to find something from this game tonight.

The Wanderers are unbeaten in their last five matches winning four of them and have been away in Marbella this week at a warm weather training camp in preparation for this contest.

Other fixtures from across Europe on Monday see Deportivo Alaves face Levante, with the home said only losing once all season on home turf.

Germany also has a Bundesliga 2 fixture where top of the table Hamburg take on 12th placed Dynamo Dresden in what should be a routine victory for the Champions League winning side.

We have backed a treble for these three games today and you can have a look at our racing selections.

Snooker

The Welsh Open gets underway on Monday with some of the sports top professionals on show with some nice odds on players winning individual matches and for the outright title.

Cricket

England are into the third day of their third and final test against the West Indies in St Lucia where after a good first two days of putting a resectable 277 on the board with the bat and bowling there opponents out for 154 they now sit 142 runs ahead.

They will start day three 19-0 in a game they will be looking to take control of and not finish off the series being white washed after what has overall been a disappointing month for English Cricket.
