On Monday Irish trainer Patrick J McKenna sends just one runner over to England for the meeting at Southwell today and having only sent a few horses over in the past, he is looking to establish himself as a shrewd trainer.
The handler has only ever sent over 16 horses to England to race in his training career and although none of them have won to date, he has gained three places at a strike rate of 19%.
The gelding in question today is the seven year old No Speed Limit, who has been in smart form over in Ireland on the the all weather at Dundalk.
He is highly consistent placing in all of his last nine races, including winning one event and getting plenty of weight off the field today could make him dangerous.
