Clementines Star 5/2 - 17:40 Newcastle
Clementines Star looks a live contender in the 17:40 at Newcastle because she already has a solid run over this course and distance. On her only start so far, she finished a credible third of twelve over 6f on the A/W at Newcastle, doing well to pick up in the closing stages.
She’s still very unexposed, being just a two-year-old with only that one run under her belt. Given the strength of her debut performance, there’s plenty of room for improvement, especially in a restricted novice stakes where progression often plays a big part.
Trained by Daniel & Claire Kubler, she showed she can be patient, settle in mid-division, and then switch to the rail to run on strongly. If she repeats that and learns from her debut, she has every chance to go one better today.
