The feature race of the afternoon is the Group Two Blue Point Sprint over five furlongs and Lazuli at the top of the market is very hard to get away from.

Being a solid sprinter throughout his career, winning races like the Group Three Palace House, Group Three Dubai International and Listed Scurry Stakes, he is now trying to land the biggest race of his career.

Returning over six furlongs at Meydan in January off the back of a break he finished a good second to stablemate Man Of Promise.

Dropped to his preferred 5f for this event he has the leading form in the race and has to go close.

Trainer To Follow - David Simcock

Trainer David Simcock sends a decent team to Meydan on Thursday, having two smart runners in the last two races of the day and both of them hold big chances at nice prices.

The first in the Group Three Nad Al Sheba Trophy, Rodrigo Diaz currently holds big each way potential if getting back to the form of his Geoffrey Freer Stakes.

In the final event of the day he fields the smart Bless Him who although becoming a veteran still holds big ability off his mark of 97.

Simcock heads into the meeting sporting a 14% strike rate for the last fortnight.

Jockey To Follow - William Buick

William Buick has been the man to follow over the last few months in Meydan riding winners for all different trainers and owners and on Friday he is looking to keep his good run going.

In the second race of the day he sits on the odds on shot Silent Speech, who is looking to land a hat-trick of wins.

The feature event of the day is the Group Two Blue Point Sprint over five furlongs and Lazuli is the stand out pick in the race for the rider.

He holds another strong card in the Nad Al Sheba Trophy with Manobo looking to make it 5/5 and keep his unbeaten streak.

Finally, in the Mina Rashid Handicap over a mile, Valiant Prince is looking to make it a hat-trick and under a penalty could go well.

Buick is riding out of his skin at the moment currently running at a strike rate of 36% for the last two weeks, managing four winners from 11 rides.
