Who To Follow At Haydock On Friday

Horse To Follow - Dandalla

The feature race on the card is the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes over six furlongs and the Karl Burke trained Dandalla should be a class above the field.

The star three year old started her career off at Newcastle when winning a Fillies Maiden by two lengths and off the back of that she stepped up to the Group Three Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and absolutely hosed up.

Over six furlongs at Newmarket she landed the Group Two Duke Of Cambridge Stakes beating Fev Rover who went onto frank the form by landing a Group Two in France.

The natural progression for this filly was to step into Group One company in the Cheveley Park Stakes and having been favourite at one point, she had obvious claims but unfortunately did not handle the track and was outclassed by some of the more experienced juveniles.

Back for another season she went up in trip for the Group Three Fred Darling Stakes and although seventh, she ran a good race first time out.

Dropping back to 6f is the right move and if improving for the run looks an obvious contender, having already won on soft as a juvenile.

Trainer To Follow - Karl Burke

The trainer to follow on Friday at Haydock is Karl Burke with the handler having some great chances across the day, including in the feature race of the day.

In the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes over six furlongs Burke fields Dandalla, who was a Group Two winner as a juvenile and made a decent come back run this season.

Dropped to Listed company she has a big chance back at 6f and another nice chance on the day for the handler is Pink Storm in the Fillies Novice Stakes.

Jockey To Follow - James Doyle

The doyler has a great book of rides at Haydock on Friday and may be the rider to follow across the day, starting in the second race of the day.

He sits on Wild Beauty in the Fillies' Maiden with the Godolphin owned filly sure to improve a bunch for her first run of the season.

Other big chances for the superb rider is Barshaa for Simon & Ed Crisford and Wink Of An Eye for the inform William Haggas in the lucky last.

Doyle has been in fine form heading into the meeting having landed eight winners from his last 42 rides over the last two weeks, which sees him pose a 19.05% win rate.
