One of the feature races of the afternoon is the Group Two Lillie Langtry Stakes over 1m6f and our best bet of the day is the John & Thady Gosden trained Free Wind.
The mare looked a bit of a superstar last term when winning at Goodwood in June in a Maiden over 1m2f when bolting up by nine lengths.
She then made it back to back successes at Doncaster under a penalty in a Fillies' Novice Stakes and then when upped to 1m4f in the Listed Aphrodite Stakes she was a good second to Golden Pass for Hugo Palmer.
Sent to Deauville in August on good ground she got back to winning ways in the Group Three Prix Minerve and up in trip again at Doncaster in the Group Two Park Hill Stakes she reversed the form with Golden Pass to bolt up by seven lengths.
On her seasonal return last season she landed a hat-trick of wins in the 1m4f Group Two Lancashire Oaks when suffering some serious trouble in running and she flew home to take the event from the talented Sea La Rosa and Eshaada.
Suffering a setback in that race she was not seen again last season and returned this term at York when narrowly winning the Group Two Middleton Fillies’ Stakes at York by half a length over a trip too short for her and the second has since come out and won the Group Two Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Primed for a big run at Royal Ascot she bounced a little when not picking up in her usual style to finish three lengths back in fifth in the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes behind Pyledriver.
This is a much easier task for her especially going back up to 1m6f and even she is in the same form as her latest run she takes this event, but we expect her to perform to a higher level.
