Who To Follow At Sandown On Saturday - 12/06/21

Horse To Follow - Atalis Bay

The feature race of the day at Sandown on Saturday is the Listed Scurry Stakes over five furlongs and we can't look past the favourite Atalis Bay.

The Marco Botti trained colt has been a very consistent horse for the yard, landing a hat-trick as a juvenile last season over both 5/6f and on both turf and the all weather.

This term the son of Cable Bay has turned his form up a notch by winning well on seasonal debut at Nottingham on god to firm ground, with the third placed horse since going on to win.

Last time over 5f at York he stepped up to Listed company for the Westow Stakes and he finished a superb second behind the exciting Winter Power for Tim Easterby.

That looks by far the best form in the race and if improving again will be tough to beat.

Trainer To Follow - Hughie Morrison

Hughie Morrison has been in fine form since the start of the flat season with his yard and on Saturday at Sandown he has some huge chances towards the end of the card.

The handlers best chance of a winner comes in the Coral Handicap over 1m1f with previous winner King Of Cubs now looking to do it in handicap company.

Another big hopeful for him looks to come in the last with Sulochana who is seeking a hat-trick having looked a different horse this season over 1m6f.

Over the last 12 months Morrison has a decent record with his horses at the Esher track having had two winners and four places from 11 runners at the track which sees him pose an 18% strike rate.

Jockey To Follow - Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore is a jockey that although not being in the best of form has not been riding badly and cream always rises to the top and we believe he get back on track at Sandown with some nice rides.

He sits on both Hughie Morrison's keen chances, King Of Cubs and Sulochana, but also has a big chance in the hot maiden event with Betty Crean L A for David Menuisier.

Moore has been riding well at Sandown this season with six winners and five places from 31 rides which sees him pose a 20% strike rate.
