Trainer To Follow - John & Thady Gosden

John & Thady Gosden have not sent many on the first day of the Craven meeting but look to have some good chances and might be worth following.

One of their big runners of the afternoon is the Dante second Megallan who will look to throw it down to the hot favourite Master Of The Seas.

In the Fillies Maiden over a mile he fields two runners, Crenelle is the first having already ran to a good standard on debut and should go close if improving for turf.

Secondly Auyoni, who makes her debut in this event having a nice pedigree being a daughter of Siyouni.

Jockey To Follow - William Buick

William Buick this season looks a shoe in to become champion jockey having narrowly missed out last year and he will look to kickstart get in the groove of things at Newmarket on Tuesday.

In the first race of the afternoon he sits on newcomer Bojink for George Boughey and then in the Listed event over 7f he sits on the talented New Science for Charlie Appleby.

Another for Godolphin and his best chance of the day looks to be Master Of The Seas who won at this meeting last year and looks better than these horses on ratings.

He also rides the favourite in the G3 Nell Gwyn Stakes with Cachet for George Boughey being well backed over the last few days.

In the final race of the day he rides Independent Act who looks to be a progressive son of Dubawi and could enjoy his first try on the turf.

Buick heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 31% over the last two weeks, managing to land five winners from his last 16 rides.
