Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby is the man to be following so far this flat season churning out winners up and down the UK and at HQ on Friday has some big chances.

In the Listed Newmarket Stakes he has the favourite Nations Pride who heads into the event looking to land a four timer having bolted up at Meydan last time out in the Jumeirah Derby.

In the other Listed event on the card he has a similar favourite with Noble Truth looking to bounce back to the best of his form.

The feature event of the afternoon is the Jockey Club Stakes and Breeders Cup Turf winner Yibir is looking to kickstart his British campaign in style.

Appleby fields one more runner on the day with Light Of Peace making his debut for the yard and Godolphin, with the son of Dubawi an interesting runner.

The Newmarket handler heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 46% for the last two weeks, managing to land 11 winners from his last 24 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore has a nice book of rides on Friday looking to kickstart a big three days on the Rowley Mile for the experienced rider.

In the opening event of the day he sits on She's A Mirage for Richard Hannon who is an unraced filly that could turn out to be anything.

Moore teams up with Hannon in the Listed King Charles II Stakes with Gubbass having a big chance if coming on for his first run of the season.

The feature event of the afternoon is the Jockey Club Stakes and although having a tough task to beat the favourite Moore rides West End Charmer for the Johnstons, who has big each way claims.

Other rides for the jockey include Picual who is set to much better over 1m2f and Dingle who is certainly in with a chance off the back of recent form.
