Who To Follow At Lingfield On Saturday

Horse To Follow - Isabella Giles

The horse to follow at Lingfield on Saturday comes in the Group Three Chartwell Fillies' Stakes over seven furlongs and if the rain comes, Isabella Giles is an exceptional price at 9/2.

The Clive Cox trained filly has won four of her five events to date, with her last two outings showing the best of her progression when winning back to back group races.

She landed the Group Three Prestige Stakes by seven lengths at Goodwood and then in better company stepped up again to take the Group Two Rockfel Stakes over seven furlongs at Newmarket.

She stepped up to a mile on her final run as a juvenile last term in Group One company at Newmarket and unfortunately got outclassed.

The filly returned at Newbury in the Group Three Fred Darling Stakes and looked to need the run back in sixth, also not handling the quick ground aswell as others.

Getting back to a surface that is more to her suiting and also having a run under her belt should see her go much closer.

If going from the front she could dominate in this weaker race.

Trainer To Follow - James Fanshawe

James Fanshawe could be set for a red letter day at Lingfield on Saturday with some nice chances towards the end of the day and for that reason he is the trainer to follow.

His best chance of the day comes in the Class 3 Handicap which sees only four runners head to post and Turn On The Charm could be a class above.

Another interesting runner for the handler is Persaria in the lucky last having used her two runs as a juvenile to gain experience and this term should do much better.

Jockey To Follow - William Buick

William Buick is going for top jockey this season in the UK and has made a decent start with some nice winners for Godolphin and outside owners.

On Saturday at Lingfield he could clean up with a handful of smart rides and his best of the day comes on the favourite in the Derby trial with Adayar for Charlie Appleby.

Other smart chances look to be Isabella Giles in the Group Three event for Fillies and Turn On The Charm for James Fanshawe, who is expected to go close.
