Trainer Neil Mulholland on Wednesday is looking to have a winner at Perth today over the jumps, sending just one runner to the Scottish based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 836 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The handler loves bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 22% for his career having had 20 winners from his 92 runners coming this far.
Although the mare will have to battle with top weight, she has been largely progressive this term with two wins and a place in her last four events.
She was last seen finishing fifth of 10 in a handicap hurdle at Sandown and she will need to be better than that in this event, but being fairly unexposed is a plus and she could still be progressing, even off this mark.
