Trainer Iain Jardine on Tuesday is looking to have a winner on the all weather at Southwell, sending just one runner to the Nottinghamshire based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 402 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Jardine has a superb record when travelling this far with his horses, running at a 15% strike rate for his career having 111 winners from 732 travelling horses.
His runner Equidae although the outsider of the field is returning to seven furlongs which is a huge positive as his last two runs over this trip saw him place and win over course and distance.
Last time out he was dropped down to six furlongs and it did not suit and if running to his best for has to be taken seriously.
