Today's throwback race again will be looking at past winners of the Grade One Tingle Creek at Sandown and today we are going back to the 2017 renewal.
Paul Nicholls has been a very successful trainer in this event winning the Grade One 10 times and 2017 was the last time he won the event when his superstar grey, Politologue trounced the field.
The John Hales owned gelding has been a shining light for the owner and trainer during his career and now nine years old is heading back to Sandown on Saturday for more Grade One glory.
Since this win he found it very hard at the top level, but last term managed to put all that right by lading his first ever winner at the Cheltenham festival in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
Harry Skelton took the ride that day and he will ride him again at the weekend, but the question is can he be just as good as he was three years ago?
