We are looking to start the morning off with a bang and with the Irish Derby taking place this weekend we have based this weeks throwback races on past winners of the classic contest at the Curragh.
Over the years in this great race there have been some stand out winners and one of them is the British Raider Jack Hobbs for John Gosden.
The Godolphin owned colt was runner up at Epsom in the Derby but wanted revenge and made the trip over to Ireland to try and land the Irish equivalent.
With British horses not having a great record in the race many were apprehensive about the horse but under a superb ride by William Buick the colt won emphatically.
