Paisley Park

Today we are taking a look back at the 2019 renewal of the Stayers' Hurdle with it now one month to the off of the Grade One and what a special race it was.

One of the most loved horses in the sport, Paisley Park had been exceptional, winning four straight races before heading to the festival where he came from off the pace to win well.

Looking in trouble when hitting his usual flat spot, behind Faugheen and Sam Spinner he used his stamina to get to the front jumping the last and although putting in a poor jump, rallied again up the hill to land his second Grade one of his career.

Since then Paisley Park has been a hit and miss horse, needing to catch him on a going day and one of those was last year when landing the Grade One Long Walk Hurdle for a second time.

Looking to land some other nice events since then he has struggled, but last time out put up another cracking effort to see off the heavy favourite Champ to land his third straight Cleeve Hurdle.

Enjoy!
