Today we are taking a look back at last year's winner of the Grade One Ascot Chase with the Jeremy Scott trained Dashel Drasher staying on in determined fashion to see of the Paul Nicholls trained Master Tommytucker.
The superstar gelding for the yard gave jockey Matt Griffiths his first Grade One victory in this event, but overall the pair have had many special days.
Dashel Drasher is an Ascot horse racing five times at the track in his life and winning four events, including this event alongside some very smart handicap events.
Being put into this company for the first time by his handler Jeremy Scott was a big move but it paid off, with only five runners being declared.
This season he has been seen over both hurdles and fenced with all his preparation leading up to trying to defend his title and become a back to back winner of the race.
Enjoy!
A faultless display!

A well deserved first Grade One success for @mattgr1ff1ths as Dashel Drasher continues his progression on a steep upward curve this term and takes the feature Ascot Chase for @HolworthyFarm 👏🏼
