Throwback Race Of The Day - 04/01/21

Allmankind

This weekend sees some serious rain take place with many of the races cancelled over the festive period being rescheduled to go ahead at various tracks across the UK.

One of the big meetings to take place on Saturday comes from Chepstow with the Welsh National card that was supposed to go ahead on December 27th was unfortunately cancelled due to the adverse weather making the track unraceable.

One of the races we get to enjoy at the weekend is the Grade One Finale Juvenile Hurdle that over the years has been won by some decent horses.

We have taken a look back at last year's winner of the event Allmankind for trainer Dan Skelton, with the young horse being a legend for the yard landing this Grade One and also a Grade One over fences.

Having been a fair horse on the flat he was sent to the Skelton's and turned into a classy hurdles horse winning some smart events and also finishing third in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival.

This season after an underwhelming seasonal debut he has been sent over fences and has took to them superbly being unbeaten over them to date.
