The Clarence House Chase on Saturday has seen some superb winners of the race in the past and today we are looking back at the 2019 winner of the race.
Of course it is the superstar Altior, with the now 10 year old taking this race with ease in only a three runner race, somewhat scaring off the rest of the competition.
He took on Fox Norton and Diego Du Charmil at Ascot and it was another Grade One win notched to his post and he may not of had an easier time round.
Altior now looks to be coming to the end of his career with his first two loses over jumps in the last two seasons and although he will be looking for his fifth straight win in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March, this term it looks less likely than ever.
However, he is a horse that owes nothing to anyone and many are praying we can see that superstar spark for just one more time.
