All the talk was about Lady Aurelia before the race, after her superb win in the King's Stands Stakes at Royal Ascot and she looked the most likely winner of the Nunthorpe a few yards out but just on the line Marsha managed to get up under a superb ride by Luke Morris.
it was not one of Frankie Dettori's finest days aboard Lady Aurelia, having celebrated on the line but in fact when the result came back he had been pipped and finished second.
