Three Standout Performances - 27/11/2018

12:30 - El Kaldoun

El Kaldoun won smartly on his racecourse debut, and notched up 1000 winners for Middlenham Park Racing, in the starsports.bet Standard Open NH Flat Race on the AW.

From a top stable, he began by tracking the leaders, before going 2nd over 3f out. The 4yo was shaken up by Nico de Boinville to lead inside the final furlong, and stayed on well towards the line.

One for the notebook.

13:50 - Kilfinichen Bay

Despite a late drift, Kilfinichen Bay made most to win the Sedgefield Boxing Day Tickets Available Online Handicap Chase.

He has proved rather inconsistent this season, but enjoyed a free run, in front under Brian Hughes. Now ten years of age, it was his 12th win under rules, and was rarely unchallenged for the most part. Five lengths up on the bridal two fences from the finish, he was ridden towards the line to just make sure of it.

Charlie Longsdon loves his old boys.

13:30 - Miss Yeats

It is highly unlikely that there was an easier winner on the day other than Miss Yeats, who landed the Davies Insurance Services Mares' Handicap Chase at Lingfield.

She arrived here with plenty of promise under her name, having placed twice over hurdles at this track before.

The 7yo put that to good use with Tom Cannon on board, and virtually led from pillar to post. She jumped fluently and enthusiastically, was clear 2 out, and stayed on strongly to the finish.

Easy.
