Runners To Watch Out For This Week

Love

The Irish Oaks is the feature race of the week from The Curragh on Saturday and the current strong odds on market leader is looking to land the Irish Classic.

It is still up in the air whether she will contest this Group One this weekend but if she does she will be very hard to beat off the back of what the three year old has done this season.

She started her campaign this term at Newmarket in the 1000 Guineas and having been overlooked in the market, bolted up to take the contest with ease.

She then stepped up in trip for the Epsom Oaks and although going off favourite it was unknown whether she will stay the trip but who were we to underestimate the great Aidan O'Brien.

She went on to dispatch a superb field of fillies to land her second Classic contest of the season, this time by eight lengths still going away at the line.

It was one of the performances of the season and if being entered in this one it will be very surprising if she doesn't land her third Classic race of the season.

Admiral Nelson

Aidan O'Brien, as ever, has the potential to clean up on Saturday at The Curragh and in the Group Two Railway Stakes he could unleash Admiral Nelson who looks worth taking another chance on.

The son of Kingman impressed on debut when landing a five furlong Maiden over five furlongs at The Curragh but he then stepped up to six furlongs at Royal Ascot in the Coventry Stakes and looked a shadow of the horses.

However, we believe he deserves another chance back on home soil, having learnt from that run and hopefully getting quick ground again.

Lancaster House

Our final horse that may be worth some interest, again for Aidan O'Brien is Lancaster House who dropped down to seven furlongs last time out and asserted his dominance over course and distance in the Group Three Gladness Stakes.

It was thought that the four year old would be better over further having won three out of his four races over longer trips as a three year old but he showed clear speed on his seasonal return.

The colt looks to have a very progressive profile and deserves his chance in these types of races and if being entered has to have leading claims.

He also handles a variety of grounds so that could play to his strengths.
