One Horse, Jockey and Trainer to follow at Fairyhouse On Sunday

Horse To Follow - Honeysuckle

Henry De Bromhead's hurdling star Honeysuckle will start her campaign off at the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle on Sunday with the mare looking to defend her crown after bolting up in the Grade One event last term.

Honeysuckle has a been a star for the yard over the last two years and on all four of her starts last term had been pretty much faultless by winning twice at Fairyhouse including in the Grade One Hatton's Grace Hurdle.

She then narrowly stayed on to take the Irish Champion Hurdle before landing her first Cheltenham festival winner when seeing off Benie Des Dieux in the Mares Hurdle.

Overall the Kenneth Alexander-owned six-year-old has claimed nine wins in a row, if including her point to point race aswell and this event looks more than winnable for the star mare.

Trainer To Follow - Gordon Elliott

Gordon Elliott is the man to be backing on Sunday at Fairyhouse with plenty of stand out runners across the day including many of the favourites in the big races on the day.

It is a very important day for the handler with him fielding novice hurdlers and chasers facing Grade One company for the first time.

The big horses he will be looking to land the spoils with are Ballyadam in the Royal Bond Novices' Hurdle and Envoi Allen in the Drinmore Novices' Chase.

Elliott heads into the meeting with a superb strike rate having 11 winners over the last two weeks and will be very surprising if he does not add to that tally.

Jockey To Follow - Jack Kennedy

The man doing the steering for Elliott will be Jack Kennedy and if the handler is set for a big day then so is the young rider that has become one of the best Irish riders in the jumps racing scene of late.

Kennedy, like Elliott has been in fine form over the last few weeks with five winners from 27 runners and that sees him running at a 18.52% strike rate.

He will be riding the likes of Ballyadam and Envoi Allen who he has ridden before, but he will be sitting on Zanahiyr for the first time and he looks a highly exciting three year old.
