Monday's Throwback Race Of The Day - 19/04/21

We re starting the week by looking back at one of the most special performances to ever come in the Grade One Celebration Chase at Sandown, with the big race on Saturday set to bring an end to the jumps season in Britain.

In 2017 we saw Altior emphatically take the Grade One from Champion Chase winner Special Tiara who was back in second and that was the start of Henderson's dominance on the race.

Altior landed the event in 2017 and then when on to take the 2018 and 2019 races landing a hat-trick of wins in the contest, beating some superb rivals.

We have picked out the win in 2017 to throw it back to today because of how electric the performance was, with this being on of Altior's most accomplished performance of his career.
