The Winners Enclosure are seeking for a knowledgable, experienced and motivated content writer to work within our highly capable content team. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will have a strong-knowledge of horse racing, knowing the ins and outs of the sport.
Key Responsibilities
- Take pride in your work and perform to the best of your abilities at all times
- Be able to work to a high standard whilst being grammatically savvy
- Ensure everything being posted out is ‘on-brand’ and in line with the specified tone of voice
- Create engaging pieces and content ideas that will elevate the brand
- Constantly monitor analytics/insights across the site
- Be able to use your initiative and gather your own news pieces using contacts within the horse racing industry
- Have a clear understanding of working across social media platforms to promote the brand
- Always be on the lookout for new ideas and exciting content opportunities
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of horse racing, knowing specific key terms used in the every day goings on in the sport
- Ability to create high quality original content on Photoshop (desired, not required)
- Ability to edit video content (desired, not required)
- Extreme attention to detail
- Exceptional written skills; spelling, grammar & punctuation, in order to convey professionalism to viewers of the site as well as current and potential partners
- Ability to work efficiently within a small team
- A willingness to learn new skills and constantly improve your own value within the company
- A key understanding of gambling and the betting industry
- Degree in Journalism, Media or Literature (desired, not essential)
