ITV Racing Tips for Today - Wednesday 20th August

It's Day One of the Ebor Festival from York, with a bumper seven race card with five of those shown live on ITV1. Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 races all feature for what should be an entertaining day of racing ahead. Find all of our tips for the select races below.

Air Force One 10/1

Both starts for new trainer Geoffrey Oldroyd have come at York and he shaped nicely on debut two starts ago before winning well 25 days ago.

Oldroyd has a very impressive 45.45% strike rate with last time out winners and this horse looks a nice profile for this sort of race.

P J McDonald returns to the saddle and that has to be seen as another positive seeing he has a rock solid 24% strike rate when riding for this trainer.

Distant Storm 13/8

Was a very expensive purchase but this horse went on to win his first career start and now looks like he'll relish this step up in Grade.

That debut race has since thrown up 6 next time out winners so the form has been beyond franked so he deserves his shot at the top of the market.

Lambourn 5/6

If there was a track to suit this horse York would be right up there so he's certainly the one they have to beat here and his short price justifies that.

Ryan Moore and Aidan O'Brien won this race last year and you can't really fault this double Derby winning contender.

Delacroix 2/1

This highly talented son of Dubawi looks sure to go well once more here having already beaten current second favourite Ombudsman on last start at Sandown.

York will suit so hard to knock for a pair who had the winner in this race last year with City Of Troy.

Santorini Star 7/1

She has tonnes of ability and this race might just be what she's looking for seeing she's down in Class and upped in trip.

Yard are in flying form of late and trainer William Haggas also tends to do well with the runners he sends to York.

Santorini Star wasn't beaten far on her last start and that came in Group company, looks a big player today with Tom Marquand back aboard.
